Conditions Treated
Acupuncture is a highly individualized form of medicine, so no matter the medical condition, each patient receives a unique treatment that is customized for his or her particular needs. Although primarily used to treat disease, its holistic approach makes acupuncture an ideal choice for individuals interested in optimal health and preventative care.
A great deal of research has been conducted in effort to study the effects of acupuncture, and both the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the World Health Organization (WHO) recognize acupuncture's ability to effectively treat a vast array of conditions. The table below lists 40+ conditions that the WHO endorses acupuncture in treating, as established in 1979. The WHO has since expanded that list in 2003; click here to read more.
If you have questions about whether acupuncture is right for you, please feel free to contact JSA.
