Refer-A-Friend, Both Get 20% Off!

12/25/2011

JSA wants to thank our current patients for your help in spreading the word as our practice continues to grow. We are initiating a refer-a-friend program, which will run indefinitely, to encourage word-of-mouth and allow JSA to help as many people as possible. When you refer a friend, you will each get 20% off! Simply give them a refer-a-friend card (found on the desk in the treatment room) to receive 20% off their initial visit, and once it is redeemed, you will receive 20% off your next appointment.

Again, many thanks, and wishes for a happy and a healthy new year!

Ingredients to a Flu-Free Season!

12/13/2011

Cold and flu season is upon us once again, and there are several actions you can take to protect yourself. Acupuncture boosts the immune system, and can both prevent and treat cold and flu symptoms! In addition, acupuncture is effective in treating seasonal allergies, sinus problems, asthma, shortness of breath, and more. Cupping is another valuable therapy for opening up the chest, clearing congestion, and releasing toxins.

Simple preventative measures can also make a big difference. Wash your hands often, and be sure to get plenty of sleep. Also, scarves are your best friend this season! In Chinese medicine, the neck is considered the most vulnerable region through which illness invades the body from the environment, so be sure wear a scarf and keep your neck shielded from the wind and cold. If you start to feel run down, make yourself some immune-boosting tea by pouring hot water over a thick slice of fresh ginger. Happy holidays and hope to see you soon!
